Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Meshlens (the "app", "we") does with information. In short: Meshlens has no account system, and the 3D files you open stay on your device. We do not run a server that stores your personal data.
1. Your files and information on your device
Meshlens opens and checks 3D models (STL, OBJ, 3MF) on your device. The files, their names, the thumbnails of your recent models, the settings you last used for each model and your unit choice are stored locally only. We do not upload, collect, receive or store them. If you create a PDF report, it is written to a temporary file on your device and handed to your device's share sheet, and you choose where it goes.
2. No account
You do not need to create an account or give us your name, email address or phone number to use Meshlens.
3. Analytics and crash reports
We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand anonymous usage (for example, which screens and tools are used) and to find and fix crashes. These services may collect device and app information such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash traces, an app-instance identifier and an approximate region derived from your IP address. The events we send do not contain file names, and file paths are removed from crash reports before they are sent. Google acts as our data processor. We do not use this data to identify you. See the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information.
4. Advertising (free version)
The free version of Meshlens shows ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use device identifiers (such as the advertising identifier), IP address, approximate location, diagnostic data and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads and, where you permit it, to personalise them. Meshlens Pro removes ads, and Pro users do not start the ad service.
- Consent: before ads are requested, we show a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform, UMP) where it is required, for example in the EEA and UK, so you can accept, refuse or change your ad choices.
- iOS: Meshlens shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you tap "Ask App Not to Track", the advertising identifier is not used for tracking. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings under Privacy > Ads.
See how Google uses data in advertising.
5. Purchases
Meshlens Pro is an in-app purchase handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage your Pro entitlement. RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt information and an anonymous app user ID generated for your installation. We do not receive your payment details, which stay with Apple or Google. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
6. Device permissions
Meshlens does not ask for location, camera, microphone, contacts or photo access. It reads only the files you choose to open or share with it.
7. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Information goes only to the service providers named above (Google for Firebase and AdMob, RevenueCat for purchases, Apple for the App Store and Google for Google Play and payments), which process it to provide their services, or where required by law.
8. Retention and deletion
Data on your device stays there until you delete it. Uninstalling the app removes everything stored on the device. Analytics, crash and purchase data held by our providers is retained according to their policies, under anonymous identifiers that we cannot look up. To ask about data linked to your identifiers, email us. See the Support page for more.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of personal data. As we hold no account data, most of your data is under your control on your device. For any request, contact us at berkantc93@gmail.com.
10. Children
Meshlens is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will help to remove it.
11. Security
Data on your device is protected by your device's own security. Data sent to our service providers is transmitted over encrypted connections.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be reflected in the app or on this page.
